The Underdogs Have a New Leader!  Now They Need a Community.

For 20 years, North Florida Educational Institute (NFEI) has quietly changed lives through education, opportunity, and athletics.  As the school celebrates its 20th anniversary, a new chapter begins—one built on hope, resilience, and the belief that every student deserves a chance to succeed.

Leading that chapter is Head Football Coach Marquis Haynes, a seven-year NFL veteran who understands what it takes to compete at the highest level. After achieving his own dream, Coach Haynes has returned to invest in the dreams of young athletes who are working just as hard for their own opportunities. 

Some of NFEI's football players have traveled thousands of miles from their home countries to pursue an education and compete in American football.  They left behind parents, siblings, and the support systems that most young athletes rely on. For many, their teammates become their family, and their coaches become mentors both on and off the field.  These students are not asking for shortcuts.  They are asking for a fair opportunity.

Today, the NFEI football program faces challenges that have nothing to do with talent or determination. Helmets need to be restored and repainted. Uniforms need to match with pride. Essential football equipment must be replaced. Training resources, travel expenses, nutrition, and other program needs all require funding that simply isn't available through the school's limited budget.

Coach Haynes is building more than a football team. He is building confidence, discipline, leadership, and a culture where young men learn how to overcome adversity together. Every practice is about preparing these athletes not only for the next game, but for college, careers, and life.

That is why the NFEI Booster Club exists.

Our mission is to unite alumni, families, local businesses, community leaders, and football supporters around one goal: giving these student-athletes the resources they need to compete with dignity and represent their school with pride.  Every contribution makes a difference. A donation can help restore helmets that protect our players. It can provide uniforms that allow every athlete to take the field as one team. It can purchase equipment that keeps practices safe and productive. It can support travel, meals, academic needs, and countless opportunities that help these young men continue pursuing their education and athletic goals.

When you support NFEI Football, you are investing in far more than a season.  You are investing in a coach who has chosen to give back after reaching the highest level of the game.  You are investing in a school celebrating twenty years of transforming lives.
